Jesus Rendon Bio

Jesus Rendon is Texas’s beloved and respected native son. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Rendon credits his parents, who were only teenagers at the time of his birth and despite their youth and economic disadvantages, for laying the loving foundation which has become his greatest resource for achieving success.

Like his parents, he graduated from South San Antonio High School and then graduated from The University of Texas’s Cockrell School of Engineering at Austin through the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (with his primary in fields, waves, and electromagnetic systems and his secondary in computer architecture and embedded systems) ,which made him the first in his family to graduate from college. While attending UT, Mr. Rendon worked as a software engineer intern with Intellica Corporation and with Intel (Ultimate Engineering Experience). He also was an undergraduate research fellowship recipient. Because of Mr. Rendon’s experience and leadership skills, even as an intern, he has managed teams on major projects in multidisciplinary fields that involved data analysis, programming, and drafting of prototype designs.

After graduating from UT, he was employed with Applied Materials (AMAT) as the Lead CSMG Test Engineer (Gas Panels, Robots, and Mainframe Test Fixtures) which involves coding, designing, building, training test technicians, and providing test solutions for almost every business unit that AMAT works with worldwide. He later worked for Northrop Grumman as a Principal Software Engineer providing technical solutions in the cyber realm for the US government.  Mr. Rendon led multiple projects as Project Manager for Cyber Net Force Technologies (CNF), which is a family owned small business (founded in San Antonio by Mr and Mrs. Ramirez in 2005). He also works for a start up company called Inspira Enterprise and onboarded this company as the #9th employee in the USA. These days you can find Mr. Rendon running his company IT/Cyber/Software company Rendon Solutions and  Polendo Engineering and Foundations were he is a partner and specialize in building High Performance Foundations using Helical Piers. Mr. Rendon’s passion for education and his commitment to giving back to his community were the basis for his next endeavor: Building A Purpose (BAP).

A confident, goal-oriented man of purpose, Mr. Rendon who has set and accomplished personal, educational, and career goals decided to establish an educational non-profit entitled Building A Purpose whose mission connects students with professionals in many careers. Since 2015, as Executive Director, over 500 high school students in central Texas have been connected through their programs and have partnered up with numerous other non profits to fulfill their mission.

Mr. Rendon’s concern for helping young students prepare for their future careers results from his experience of witnessing many students with great potential lose their focus because of a lack of direction. He desires to help the next generation of students strive for success by getting a head start on their futures by knowing more about the careers they are interested in. Ultimately, giving the students a chance to change mentors in high school, instead of changing majors in college where it may cost them thousands.

Mr. Rendon’s pride and involvement with his community began even before high school, however, his high school resume reflects an impressive list of extracurricular organizations from serving as a teacher’s assistant for religious education classes at his church, completing a PREP Engineering program, actively volunteering with Uniting Communities in San Antonio, and attending Communities in Schools TRIO Upward Bound every summer.  He has always wanted to help others as he prepared for his future and so continues this personal mission today. A deeply spiritual man, Mr. Rendon will define the needed goals for his community, his church, his family, his district, his job assignment, or any organization and then, proceed to accomplish them through a transparent timeline where students, colleagues, co-workers, mentors, or anyone working with him will see the improved changes.

Mr. Rendon is a team player that will always inspire confidence in everyone that he meets and works with. He has shared countless ideas on multiple occasions, from being a Tedx Talk speaker, to being a key note speaker at the South San Antonio High School Class of 2017 graduation ceremony.

Mr. Rendon is married to Dr. Judith Munoz Rendon who shares his love for the South side of San Antonio as well as his mission with the Building A Purpose 501c(3) Non profit. Their history stems back to the sixth grade where they met at Dwight Middle school and both attended South San St. Joseph’s church together.

She later graduated valedictorian of her High School class, went on to earn 2 Bachelor’s degrees ,and her Doctoral degree in Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Rendon credits her parents for moving to the U.S. when she was 5 because had they waited any longer they would have never met. He says his 2nd greatest accomplishment was marrying Mrs. Rendon ,but the birth of his Three daughters Autumn, Sol, Ellie take the trophy. When he is not with his family, working in Cyber Security, Engineer, ranching, or running a non profit he is heavily involved with his community in San Antonio.
